Delhi liquor policy corruption case: Supreme Court grants bail to Manish Sisodia

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Courtroom on Friday granted bail to AAP chief and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in corruption and cash laundering instances associated to the alleged rip-off within the now-scrapped Delhi liquor coverage.
Sisodia has been lodged in jail for over 17 months.
Sisodia was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26, 2023, for his alleged function within the irregularities surrounding the creation and execution of the Delhi excise coverage for 2021-22.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him on March 9, 2023, as a part of the cash laundering investigation associated to the CBI’s FIR.
He resigned from the Delhi cupboard on February 28, 2023.
