The incident caught the attention of Sazhida Sazhidova, minister of sport, Dagestan. In a chat with Mirror US, Sazhidova stated: “Like many others, I’m perplexed by what occurred, and the motives of such an skilled competitor as Amina Abakarova are incomprehensible.
