BENGALURU: Karnataka authorities on Sunday handed over to CID the probe into the demise of 35-year-old sub-inspector Pa-rashurama after his spouse accused a Congress MLA and his son of forcing him to die by suicide.
“The choice has been made to make sure investigation is neutral. Govt will present a job to Parashurama’s spouse on compassionate grounds, in addition to monetary help,” Karnataka dwelling minister G Parameshwara advised reporters.
After the SI died on Friday evening, his spouse, Shwetha, filed a grievance in opposition to Congress MLA from Yadgir, Channareddy Patil Tunnur, and his son Pampanagouda (Sunny), alleging abetment to suicide and a cash-for-transfer rip-off involving Rs 30 lakh for a posting in Yadgir.
Opposition chief R Ashoka met Parashurama’s spouse and supplied condolences. “Congress has breached all limits of corruption. Since this govt took workplace, it has focused Dalits,” he alleged.
