New Delhi, July 7, 2024 – The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has officially released the notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Aspiring law students can now gear up for this crucial examination. Here are the key details:

  1. Application Process:
    • The CLAT registration window opens on July 15, 2024.
    • Candidates can apply online through the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2025.html.
    • The last date to submit applications is October 15, 2024.
  2. Exam Date and Time:
    • CLAT 2025 will be held on December 1, 2024.
    • The exam duration is two hours, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (with an extended time of 40 minutes for PwD candidates).
  3. Eligibility Criteria:
    • For the five-year integrated law degree (undergraduate program):
      • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with:
        • 45% marks or equivalent grade.
        • 40% marks or equivalent for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disabilities (PwD) candidates.
      • Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March or April 2025 are also eligible to apply.
    • For the one-year LLM degree (postgraduate program):
      • Candidates must hold an LLB degree or its equivalent with:
        • 45% marks or equivalent grade.
        • 40% marks or equivalent for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
      • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April or May 2025 can also apply.
  4. Application Fee:
    • General category candidates: Rs 4,000
    • SC, ST, PwD, and BPL candidates: Rs 3,500
  5. Offline Mode:
    • CLAT 2025 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, ensuring fairness and accuracy.
